Student Programming
Undergraduate Programming
Welcome to UConn Hillel! We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to your home away from home!

All current students are entitled to a FREE coffee chat with one of our staff or student leaders. This is your chance to ask questions about Hillel, its resources, and how to get involved!

UConn Hillel hosts a variety of programs that appeal to different students. Some of these include Pickleball, watch parties for UConn Basketball games, and even a rage room. If you have an idea for a program you would like to see, tell us here!
Graduate Programming
UConn Hillel's Grad(Jew)ate Student Organization engages graduate students through social events, professional programs, and educational opportunities.

Graduate school can be challenging. UConn Hillel gets that, and the Grad(Jew)ate Student Organization is here to help!
Whether it's meeting other Jewish Grad Students at a Happy Hour, letting off some steam playing kickball, or attending a professional networking event, the aim of the Grad(Jew)ates is to provide a pluralistic Jewish Graduate Student community at UConn and beyond.

First Year Students of Hillel (FYSH)
First-Year Students of Hillel (FYSH) is a student-led program that aims to create an instant community for incoming students, whether a freshman or transfer student.
FYSH welcomes students at any year in their college career that are looking to make a connection in their Jewish community. Each member of FYSH is mentored by a returning active member of Hillel. Each mentor is paired with approximately four FYSHies over the summer, acting as a small family unit within our larger Hillel community. Mentors contact their mentees in August welcoming them to campus. From move-in day through the rest of their college career, mentors help their FYSHies in various ways, including moving in, welcoming them to our community, and adjusting to college life in general.
There are three events per semester for the entire FYSH community, including the Welcome Back BBQ, FYSH bonfire, and movie nights. In addition, families and individual match-ups are encouraged to make their own agendas and to venture out on their own.

If you want more information about the FYSH program, or would like to get more involved with UConn Hillel, contact Jake Niefeld at jake@uconnhillel.org or VP of FYSH Molly Meyerson
